Enya and Ethan running for refugee kids
Story
Hello I'm Enya and I'm 11 years old.
Hi, I'm Ethan and I'm 9 years old.
We are both taking part in the Run 4 Refugees as part of the Melbourne Marathon in support of Asylum Seeker Kids. We want to raise funds for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) by running 5.7km...we've never run that far before so it's going to be a real challenge! But not as big a challenge as those faced by Asylum Seeker kids and their families who have to fight for their survival everyday.
Enya: "I want to support Asylum Seeker kids because they are just like us but not as fortunate because they were not born in Australia"
Ethan: "I am running for the kids because they need our help, and our mum was an Asylum Seeker and someone helped her"
Make a difference by supporting our run with a donation. All donations big or small will make a difference in the lives of some of Australia's most vulnerable people! Click on Donate Now (right) and do something amazing!
Psst: We have a secret team target to beat all the adults in raising the most money, we are confident we can do it with your help!
Thanks for your support! You rock!

Activity
ASRC Footscray (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre)
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.
As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.
We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
